Looking for experts in the book production field? Bookbuilders South is a networking group for publishing professionals in central Florida. The group meets every Third Thursday from 5–7 p.m., in Tremain’s Lounge at the Lakeside Inn in Mount Dora, Florida www.lakeside-inn.com The Lakeside Inn provides hot appetizers, and drinks are available for purchase. The setting is cozy and casual.

The format for the meetings is 5–6 p.m. open networking. From 6–7 p.m. we officially gather to introduce ourselves and our work, and discuss a pre-determined theme relating to publishing. Examples are: Tools of the Trade: favorite time/labor saving technologies (software applications, computer filing techniques, dealing with email, innovative voice mail systems, document sharing, etc.) The Power of Words: favorite writing/reading/editing book (e.g. The Elements of Style).

This is an open networking group. There are no fees, or membership. Meeting reminders are sent out to interested parties via email. To be added to the email list, write to books@medeaminnich.com.

Bookbuilders South is an affiliate of Bookbuilders West (www.bookbuilders.org), a San Francisco Bay area publishing group founded in 1969.
